Inventory for homes are at record lows. We are truly in a sellers market, which can make the home buying process a tough one. There are a lot of home buyers out there making offers above asking price and still not getting the home. Here are some tips to make the home buying experience in Admirals Cove a little easier.

Get your finances in order- Before you begin your house hunt, make sure your finances are in order. Start by figuring out what your budget is and stick to it. Given the housing market right now, many realtors won’t take you to the home unless you have secured financing.

Find the right neighborhood- Figure out the type of neighborhood you want in advance so you don’t have to waste time going all over town. By going to open houses in the neighborhood you were looking at you can decide which neighborhood is right for you.

Act quickly- As a result of having your finances in order and knowing what neighborhood you want to be in, you can make an offer faster. That will increase your odds of getting the home you are looking for.
