Moving into your home in Admirals Cove can be an exciting time. It can also be a complicated and stressful time, especially for children. For most children, the home you are moving out of is the only house they have ever known. Here are some helpful tips on helping your children with the big move.

Communicate your move- Children might like surprises, but chances are a move is not a surprise they will like. After making the decision to move, call a family meeting and explain the reason for the move. Most importantly, encourage them to express their feelings about the move.

Get your children involved- Allowing the children to get involved in the moving process makes them feel like they are an important part of the process. Let them pack their belongings or go through and pick out what they want to take to the new house.
