The Yeshiva Universities Albert Einstein College of Medicine is a leading research institution that is devoted to studies in bio-medical investigation and producing compassionate and ethical physicians and scientists. Even though education is the backbone of the college of medicine they are also the leaders in bio-medical research. The college of medicine welcomes faculty and staff from all backgrounds that have the drive to improve the health of humanity on the community level and beyond. Last year they were given nearly $160 million in grants from the National Institutes of Health. David and Karen Mandelbaum and the college of medicine would like to invite people to a discussion they are hosting at Admirals Cove titled “Look to the Future: A Conversation on Vital Areas of Medical Research Affecting Us, Our Children, and our Grandchildren.” To be held from 4:30pm through 6:30pm on March 20 at The Admirals Cove Club’s Harbourview Room in the warm and tropical Jupiter, Florida. Allen M. Spiegel, M.D. is going to be the moderator for the event and will be available to answer questions on stem cell exploration, Alzheimer’s, personalized medicinal methods for illnesses and diseases. Dr. Spiegel received top honors from Columbia University and Harvard Medical School, and completed his training at Massachusetts General Hospital. Judy Aschner, M.D. is the Physician in Chief at the Children’s Hospital of Montefiore and is the Chair of the college of medicine. Dr. Aschner will be available to answer questions on new treatments for neonatal pulmonary hypertension, premature birth, and the role that research plays improving pregnancy results and overall baby health. Doctor Aschner finished her training in pediatric residency and neonatal fellowship at the School of Medicine of the University of Rochester.
