Money- If you have the money for a down payment and closing costs then you are ahead of the game. Down payments typically range from 3-20% of the property value while closing costs include taxes, title insurance, financing costs, and items that must be prepaid or escrowed.

Credit- Make sure your credit is in good shape and your credit report is accurate. Lenders will view your credit history to determine whether they will give you a loan.
